This outstanding little 19th century traveling spice set comes in its original 7 ¼ inch covered container complete with lid and a strong complement of its period lacquer (japanning) finish. All demonstrating desirable Civil War period construction techniques and remaining in excellent untouched condition just as it has set since stored away decades ago, this cooking spice set contains six cylindrical tin containers measuring 2 1/8 inches in diameter by 2 1/8 inches high. Each tin retains a near full complement of period finish with strong period stenciling. Nestled in the center is a 1 ½ inch diameter by 2 ½ inch high shaker with finger loop. All completely original and as found with good age yet remaining in pleasing condition, this spice set will set well in any period mess or cooking related grouping. Buy with confidence!
