Manufacturer: American antique

We have been fortunate to have acquired a small number of as new Civil War era pocket / travel combs and are offering them here individually from the original packet (2 combs interlocking) for the collector of Civil War smalls and personal items who would like an example for display. Made from birch wood and fashioned in two sections so as to fit together for carrying, these fine toothed combs were quite suitable for cleaning and delousing (frequently referred to by collectors as louse combs) in addition to meeting simple grooming needs. (see: Gettysburg Visitor’s Center Civil War Museum collection) Each section is approximately 2 5/8 inches long by 1 inch wide and is absolutely period and all original.
