All original and in nice frameable condition is this 8 5/16" X 10 ¾", Nov.19,1864 dated Punch satirical cartoon. Printed on one side and titled The American Tempest this pro Confederacy political cartoon chides Lincoln’s plan to utilize African Americans in the Union cause and reflects an all too common position by citizens on both sides that militarized Blacks would be particularly ineffective.
