This attractive Victorian lady's fan is constructed of fine white swan feathers with a turned bone handle and delicate cockade style embellishment of mother of pearl. On it's face the cockade boasts an impressive high relief gutta-percha liberty head. A wonderful early lady's accessory remaining in nice condition with minimal evidence of the ravages of time on such a delicate article. Carefully packed away for generations this piece with it's classic style lady liberty will make a wonderful addition to any fine lady's grouping. Properly set in a period frame, (the fan measures approximately 9 1/4 inches across and is about 12 1/2 inches in length) this fine example of lady's Americana would serve well as a wall decoration.
