Manufacturer: WHEELER’S EUKOLA
We have a small number of these Civil War vintage WHEELER’S EUKOLA medical cure labels and are offering them at $22.00 each to the collector who would like one for display as is or mounted on your own period bottle. Measuring approximately 3" X 4 7/8" on an attractive pale yellow stock. Each label is in excellent un-used but original condition and extols the miracle healing powers of Wheeler’s concoction in all manner of ills to include colds, pain in the stomach and bowels, headache, rheumatism, hemorrhage, diarrhea, tooth and ear ache, etc. When not swallowed to affect a cure Wheeler promises an excellent result as a bath for strains, sprains, fresh wounds, cuts and offensive sores. (Most likely the concoction was more alcohol than herb and did it’s best work when taken as such.) A neat period item at a price below a week’s pay! Now that is a rarity! (We have enlarged the alternate view so you can enjoy the details of Wheeler’s verbiage.)
