Manufacturer: American antique
We are fortunate to have in our stock of some thirty-five years accumulation (Oh for the days when such things could be found!) a small quantity of die struck numerals as were used for regimental number identification fastened atop Infantry, Artillery and Cavalry hat insignia, or simply fastened to the hat alone. These are the die struck, false bullion type, silvered with soldered wire fasteners and in the proper size (approximately 7/16" high) to fit on or above the usual hat insignia of both officer and enlisted headgear. (We have set a couple in a period infantry device for illustration.) We now only have a few each of numbers 5 and 7 and are offering them here priced individually. Each is in excellent, un-used and all original condition with only that telltale age patina and construction stile as evidence of origin of the Civil War period. (Use key word letters or numerals in our search to find other examples.) please note: ALL ITEMS ARE CURRENT & AVAILABLE UNLESS MARKED SOLD!!. |
